Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Copy Editor to support a high-performing RFP team on a long-term contract basis. This role is responsible for editing and refining complex proposal content to ensure clarity accuracy and alignment with established brand standards.
You will work closely with proposal managers subject matter experts and sales teams to deliver high-quality client-ready materials in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and proofread complex proposal documents for grammar clarity tone and consistency
Ensure all materials align with corporate branding and style guidelines
Refine and enhance content developed by subject matter experts
Collaborate with proposal managers and cross-functional teams to meet deadlines
Review and improve existing proposal content for effectiveness and readability
Support editing of graphics and visual elements within proposals
Track progress and communicate workflow updates as needed
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree
5 years of editing copyediting or proposal support experience
Prior experience working on RFPs or proposal responses
Insurance industry experience required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
Strong writing proofreading and editing skills including experience with large documents
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to enforce brand and style guidelines consistently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Smartsheet or similar tools
Familiarity with proposal development processes
Strong communication and collaboration skills
