Job Summary
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to troubleshoot repair and maintain HVAC systems and compressed air system equipment
Perform annual maintenance on chillers and air handlers including the following:
o Record unit running hours condenser and evaporator pressures
o Record compressor oil level
o Replace oil and oil filters
o Condenser tube brushing
o Replace system filters
Perform preventative maintenance on compressed air systems including the following:
o Schedule and change machine oils and filter
o Overhaul internal and external components as required
o Replace defective / worn out parts as needed
o Lubricate required items as scheduled
o Perform complete preventive maintenance
Required Skills/Abilities:
Solid understanding of chilled water systems
Knowledge of air compressors and systems
Ability to read and understand machine maintenance manuals operation manuals and associated machine documentation. Paperback and digital
Ability to coordinate with suppliers parts departments and contractors
Operation of forklifts scissor lifts boom lift and working at elevated heights
Knowledge of and ability to comply with OSHA Safety and company rules
Education and Experience:
Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a technical apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of qualified maintenance experience
EPA 608 Certification
