Material Handler

Position Purpose:

Perform storing picking staging and distribution of materials required for the manufacturing of products. Ensure materials are available for the production team in an accurate and timely manner. Perform activities that pertain to validating the accuracy of the sites inventory.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using forklifts.
• Pick finished products for shipments ensuring the accuracy of identification and quantity.
• Receive materials requisitions from production complete orders and deliver to production as required.
• Create and/or maintain transactional inventory records and quantifies and verify cycle count.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization daily to ensure products can be located easily and efficiently.
• Perform daily inventory as needed to provide information for any necessary adjustments. Communicate information to the appropriate people.
• Communicate daily with all levels of management and the warehouse on pending material and quality issues.
• Monitor movement of materials from warehouse to production.
• Verify labels products and quantities to assure that all match with the accompanying paperwork.
• Repack products as needed to meet production requirements
• Operate and maintain the cartridge line ensuring optimal performance
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Essential Skills Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience
• Experience operating forklifts in a safe manner
• Experience working with inventory control and warehouse management ERP system.
• Experience using RF Scan gun.
• Detail and results-oriented excellent accuracy and committed to meeting deadlines.
• Good judgment and ability to make decisions.
• Strong bias for action. Make recommendations and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to solve problems.
• High commitment to continuous improvements.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office Word Excel.
