As Team Leader for our Mobile Youth Outreach Short Term Remand pilot in Wagga youll guide a dynamic ontheground service that meets children and young people 10-17 years where they are offering safety stability and connection to culture and community at the moments that matter most.

A place to make a difference:

In this part-time (22.8 Hrs Mondays to Thursdays max term until 30 June 2027) role youll work as a part of our Mobile Youth Outreach Short Term Remand Pilot program team in Wagga* to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.

* You will be expected to travel up to 25% of the time to various locations in Wagga including Riverina Juvenile Justice Centre schools community settings and partner organisations to oversee program delivery conduct outreach activities and represent 54 reasons at relevant meetings and forums.

You will make a difference by:

  • Leading and developing a dedicated and driven team including providing professional supervision.
  • Supporting the design implementation monitoring and evaluation of the Mobile Youth Outreach program in Wagga.
  • Building strong relationships with the Elders Aboriginal organisations schools local community local councils police youth justice health and education and confidence in the program.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program including service delivery budgets administration risk management and compliance.

This role requires:

  • Proven leadership skills the ability to nurture a cohesive agile high performing team.
  • Ability to drive and role model child and youth centred family focused approach in service provision within a team.
  • Experience working with children young people and families of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
  • A genuine passion to support and manage a high-performing team to meet and exceed objectives and achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to complex scenarios.
  • Ability to plan and deliver events for children young people and families in community.
  • Current valid drivers license
