Job Summary
Location: Pipersville PA
Position: Cell and Molecular Scientist
Assist Monoclonal Department Supervisor with performing hands on classical fusion work and cell culture growth.

3.0 Position Requirements:

3.1 Good organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
3.2 Windows based computer skills familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
3.3 Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
3.4 Experience with cGMP quality systems and manufacturing operations.
3.5 Ability to give directions train others and communicate effectively both orally and written.
3.6 Works well with personnel from other functional areas and is willing to hold all staff accountable.
3.7 Ability to give directions train others and communicate effectively.
3.8 Ability to perform all work and interact with others in a safe and responsible manner.
4.0 Essential Function Include (but are not limited to):
4.1 Ensure all requirements of the department are executed in a timely and compliant manner. This may include production and quality activities.
4.2 Maintain compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
4.3 RNA and cDNA creation from FACS sorted memory Bcells.
4.4 PCR recovery of antibody variable genes from Llamas Alpacas Rabbits Cows and Chickens.
4.5 Agarose gel extraction DNA purification and quantification.
4.6 V-gene primer stock cDNA kit PCR kit and DNA purification kit ordering and oversight (Primer design troubleshooting and optimization as needed).
4.7 Amplicon generation and purification for Illumina NGS. Coordination of shipment of final amplicon product to CRO for NGS.
4.8 Platelet analysis.
4.9 Other duties as assigned.
4.10 Operation of the following equipment: PCR machine Agarose gel box UV box Microwave Power Supply Benchtop Centrifuge Access to Hood/Safety Cabinet.
5.0 Education:
5.1 Associates degree or B.S. (preferred) in relevant field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
6.0 Physical Requirements:
6.1 This position is moderately active and requires standing walking bending and moving throughout the lab.
6.2 Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at a time.
6.3 Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
7.0 Working Conditions:
7.1 Conditions inside the lab are generally quiet periodically there may be mid-level noise from various equipment.
7.2 While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently standing walking and sitting.
