Job Summary
JOB TITLE: Recycling Waste Handler FLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptCATEGORY: Machine Operator ISCHEDULE: Wednesday Thursday Friday every other Saturday 6pm-6amSUMMARY:Conducts tasks required in the recycling area and plant cleanliness. Performs basic maintenance on a variety of specialized production and non-production equipment. Follow written verbal and visual work instructions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The ability to understand written verbal and visual instructionsThe ability to perform accurate written and computer data entry Able to test material before shipmentAbility to operate all recycling equipmentBalers fabric fiber cores cardboardHypertrimCompactor(s)Load Waste on Vecoplan Shredder for Erema OperationWeigh tag and properly document all written Work Order instructions using proper materialsLoad trailers for shipmentMonitor and fill outside containers with waste material (open top dumpsters)Certified fork truck clamp truck and pole truck operationUnderstands all job hazards demonstrates safe behaviorsAble to maintain clean work environment (housekeeping 5S) with little/no supervisionFrequent removal of waste from all departments (production waste cardboard fiber and metal)Use of efficient time management skills Able to prioritize internal and external job functions Performs other duties as assignedREQUIRED TRAINING:Lock-out/tag-outBasic hazardous communication PPEOn the job safety reviewPowered Industrial Truck certificationPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Continuous standingFrequent walking Frequent pushing/pullingFrequent upper extremity useFrequent climbing stairsFrequent PIT operationFrequent hand useFrequent bending/kneelingADHERE TO COMPANY AND SAFETY POLICYFollow all safety and company policy including but not limited to proper PPE Attendance Cell Phone and Smoking.**Excellent benefits package to include (but not limited to): Medical Dental Vision 401(k) company match Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care Spending Account Short and Long-Term Disability Life Insurance and Supplemental life insurance for self spouse and children gym membership discounts wellness program referral bonus program longevity bonuses Attendance bonuses and much more!!
