Job Description
Rate: $23.91 an hour
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Canoga Park CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms and requests with clear communication and customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out armed post orders security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings production areas parking areas and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access control points verify identification and/or authorization for entry and document visitor vehicle and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; coordinate with site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
- Prepare clear reports maintain required logs and communicate observations and unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership to help support security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
