Job Description Summary
In compliance with Article 9 of the agreement between the PFT and the District only probationary and tenured faculty are invited to apply to the following full-time tenure-track faculty vacancies. This listing is being posted for ten (10) working days. If interested you must submit ALL required application materials by midnight on the stated deadline Instructors are expected to use and keep abreast of advanced teaching methods including the use of current and future technologies to support student learning and career objectives. Teaching schedule may include evening or weekend hours as part of contract assignment.

Desirable Qualifications
1. Ph.D. or advanced graduate coursework. 2. Demonstrated ability to teach in-person hybrid and fully online anthropology courses. 3. Current knowledge of anthropology with emphasis on recent biological anthropology discoveries and hypotheses. 4. Ability to develop curriculum or services that stress innovation and improve student equity. 5. Enthusiasm for the learning process and commitment to a supportive relationship with students and colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Possession of a masters degree from an accredited college or university in anthropology or archaeology; OR 2. Possession of a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in anthropology or archaeology; AND Possession of a masters degree from an accredited college or university in sociology biological sciences forensic science genetics paleontology or the equivalent; OR 3. May submit a fully-satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Anthropology. (Credentials were no longer issued after July 1 1990). OR 4. The equivalent qualifications. (Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence as clear and reliable as college transcripts as required on the District Equivalency Application Form. Refer to the Equivalency Procedures. This is not a process to waive the minimum qualifications). 5. Demonstrated cultural competency sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college staff faculty and students.
