Job Summary

As a Coach you work directly with Founders to support their engagement development and success throughout the programme.

You will provide day-to-day support encouragement and guidance to help Founders build confidence develop workplace behaviours and succeed in their placements.

Working as part of the coaching team and under the leadership of the Lead Coach you will help create a structured and supportive programme environment where Founders can thrive.

Founder Support

  • Build positive trusting relationships with Founders.
  • Provide day-to-day encouragement guidance and practical support.
  • Support Founders to develop confidence communication skills and professional behaviours.
  • Check in regularly with Founders to monitor progress and wellbeing.

Programme Delivery

  • Support the delivery of group sessions and workshops led by the Lead Coach.
  • Assist with activities focused on work readiness personal development and reflection.
  • Encourage active participation and engagement during sessions.

Placement Support

  • Support Founders preparing for and participating in placements.
  • Check in with Founders during placements to ensure they feel supported.
  • Flag any issues or concerns to the Lead Coach quickly.

Monitoring & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of engagement attendance and support provided.
  • Contribute to progress tracking and programme reporting.
  • Support the team to meet funding and programme documentation requirements.

Safeguarding & Wellbeing

  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment for Founders.
  • Recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with Catch22 policies.
  • Escalate concerns promptly to the Lead Coach or Programme Manager.

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with the coaching team and wider Found staff.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve programme delivery.
  • Support a positive professional and supportive team culture.

Qualifications :

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in youth work education employability support or coaching.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of the challenges faced by young people transitioning into work.
  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding principles

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with young people or supporting individuals facing barriers to employment or education.
  • Experience delivering or supporting group activities or workshops.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate young people.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

OTHER

  • Willingness to travel to placement sites if required.
  • Willingness to undertake training and professional development.

 


Additional Information :

Salary: 19 per hour
Hours of work: Sessional work see below.
Contract: Sessional hours for pilot prorgamme completing on 31st July 2027 - possible future hours following successful pilot.
Location: On site in central London and one week on residential.

 

Hours will be Monday to Friday on the following weeks:

  • w/c 04 May - 37 hours
  • w/c 11 May - 42 hours (residential)
  • w/c 15 June - 37 hours
  • w/c 20 July - 37 hours (tbc)
  • w/c 27 July - 37 hours (tbc)
