This is an exciting time to join the Warehouse team as we introduce a weekend shift to support our larger sites over weekend trading while still working alongside the wider warehouse team. As a second Warehouse Supervisor you will form part of a team of 10 based at the Seafield Warehouse and Distribution Centre. Your core responsibility is to supervise a team to deliver retail products and assets to our sites and properties across Scotland as well as assist with maintaining stock of 1300 lines and picking and packing of deliveries both to our sites and online shop customers ensuring accuracy of both the stock delivered and information input into the stock management system to allow for accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities of this role

  • Supervise the team in receiving and quality checking of incoming stock including accurate receipting of goods within the stock management system to allow for accurate reporting and invoices to be paid on time. Liaise with suppliers on any issues arising.
  • Plan rotas and assign tasks appropriately and as per priorities.
  • Supervise warehouse assistants in the delivery of goods to our sites as per the van delivery schedule and as required over weekend shift assisting with delivery of this if required.
  • Implement procedures and guide the team with all aspects of the day to day running of the warehouse making sure there is compliance of all Health and Safety hygiene and security legislation/requirements and safe movement and storage of goods within the warehouse.
  • Supervise and assist with the picking and packing of orders for our online shop customers ensuring packing to the high standard customers expect and meeting delivery deadlines
  • Picking and packing of hampers/gift baskets/gift bags if required
  • Liaise with merchandising and buying teams regarding stock queries deliveries etc
  • Work with rest of warehouse team to prepare for and deliver stock takes
  • Keep warehouse housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Assist the warehouse manager with all aspects of facilities management including security arrangements fire safety planned and preventative maintenance.

Essential:

  • Proficiency in using a computer and a willingness to develop your digital skills.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Current full UK driving licence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
