Job Summary
Responsible for the six performance domains of the athletic trainer as established by the NATABOC: 1)Prevention of athletic injuries 2)Recognition evaluation assessment 3) Immediate care 4)treatment rehabilitation and reconditioning 5)Organization and administration 6)Professional development and responsibility in the provision of athletic training coverage to assigned schools events and organizations. Assists in carrying out predetermined patient related activities in the clinical setting under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist. Adheres to the NATA Code of Ethics. Skilled and proficient in applying technical principles concepts and techniques which are central to the profession of Athletic Training. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Performs other duties as assigned.
