Job Summary

Position Purpose:

The Commercial Manager GRIDs role at the Company is integral to executing our strategic objectives ensuring our commercial services consistently meet and exceed both national standards and brand-specific requirements. By leading a proficient team and liaising with outsourced vendors this role is critical in delivering exceptional service excellence encompassing all facets of project management including takeoffs MTO preparation and submittals. With a focus on operational efficiency market adaptation and robust stakeholder engagement the position requires innovative leadership to drive training initiatives foster collaboration with key sales figures and spearhead initiatives that align with commercial goals and enhance service delivery across the Company.


Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership and Vendor Management: Direct and mentor a team of specialists while cultivating productive partnerships with outsourced vendors to maintain superior service delivery in alignment with national and brand-specific standards.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Regional Vice Presidents Area Sales Managers and other sales leaders to ensure cohesive project alignment and the seamless integration of services in the regions.

- Market Analysis and Service Innovation: Evaluate market trends to tailor services effectively to regional demands; introduce and spearhead innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service excellence.

- Comprehensive Training and Development: Develop and implement robust training programs for both internal teams and external partners focusing on enhancing the proficiency in the Companys systems processes and best practices.

- Operational Process Optimization: Routinely assess and enhance operational protocols to boost efficiency lower costs and elevate service quality; promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery mechanisms.

- Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong communication channels with stakeholders including internal teams clients and vendors to ensure alignment of objectives and the proactive resolution of potential obstacles.


Direct Manager Direct Reports:

Reporting Structure:
The Commercial Manager GRIDs reports directly to the Director GRIDS/Commercial Services. This position functions within a dynamic leadership framework ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and strategic objectives.

Direct Reports:
This role has direct oversight of a team of Project and Design Coordinators. The leader is responsible for managing these reports effectively to achieve operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the service delivery.


Travel Requirements:

The Commercial Manager GRIDs in the Company is required to travel frequently to manage team operations coordinate with vendors and collaborate with regional sales leaders ensuring alignment with business objectives and the successful implementation of commercial services.


Physical Requirements:

The Commercial Manager GRIDs role primarily involves standard office-based physical expectations which include the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods frequently operate a computer and other standard office equipment and effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders across multiple channels. Occasional travel is required to meet business objectives which may involve walking through and navigating varied work environments. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 20 pounds. Minimum Qualifications:

- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Management Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience within the commercial services construction or related industries including substantial experience in managing teams and vendor relationships.
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively with sales leaders to align operational strategies with specific brand goals.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with project management processes specifically in takeoffs MTO preparation and submittals.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in industry-standard project management software and tools.
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities and meet organizational objectives.


Preferred Qualifications:

1. Advanced Educational Credentials: An MBA or other advanced degree in Business Administration Project Management or a closely related discipline is highly preferred reflecting a strong foundation in strategic management and operational leadership.

2. Proven Track Record in Complex Negotiations: Extensive experience in successfully negotiating high-value contracts with multiple stakeholders showcasing the ability to navigate complex commercial landscapes and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

3. Experience in Multinational or Cross-Cultural Settings: Demonstrated experience managing commercial operations in diverse cultural environments preferably within a multinational framework ensuring seamless service integration and cross-regional alignment.

4. Change Management Proficiency: Expertise in leading organizational change initiatives with a strong emphasis on process reengineering and enhancement aimed at driving efficiency and elevating service quality.

5. Technological Savvy and Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficient in utilizing advanced data analytics tools and software to drive strategic insights and enhance decision-making processes ensuring informed data-driven results.

6. Exceptional Stakeholder Management Skills: Ability to build and sustain strong effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders providing strategic counsel and thought leadership.

7. Recognition for Innovation and Improvement: A history of recognizing and implementing innovative practices or technologies that significantly improve service delivery or operational efficiency.

8. Commitment to Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship: Demonstrated commitment to integrating sustainable practices and environmentally responsible policies into commercial service strategies.

9. Certifications and Professional Affiliations: Current certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Six Sigma and active participation in relevant professional organizations reflecting ongoing engagement with industry best practices and standards.


Minimum Education:

A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Management Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Minimum Years Of Work Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in the commercial services construction or related industry with significant experience in managing teams and vendor relationships.


Certifications:

Possessing credentials such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications may be considered advantageous. These certifications would underscore the candidates proficiency in project management processes and enhance their ability to execute the roles responsibilities effectively.
