Pricing and Underwriting brings together historical data geospatial information and advanced modelling with talented analysts who balance business goals with customer needs. Our Motor Pricing Adequacy team plays a critical role in understanding claims performance and supporting the business to make informed futurefocused decisions.
As a Senior Pricing Analyst in the Motor Pricing Adequacy team you will lead reservingstyle analysis in Python and shape how we understand emerging claims trends across our key Motor brands including Direct Line and Churchill.
Carrying out the Pricingowned projection of ultimate claim costs using the latest transactional data combined with insight and judgement to contribute to the Pricing Best Estimate.
Developing projection methodologies to reduce and quantify uncertainty and strengthen inflation forecasting baselines.
Contributing to the monthly view of claims performance presented to key stakeholders across the business.
Leading adhoc analysis into emerging claims trends exploring external factors and risk mix drivers of change.
Supporting other product teams with their claims projections including close collaboration with Motability Pricing.

Significant experience delivering reserving analysis within Motor insurance ideally across personal lines with the ability to apply expert judgement and guide the technical direction of projections.
Advanced problemsolving and criticalthinking skills able to independently evaluate multiple scenarios quantify uncertainty and advise stakeholders on business impacts and customer outcomes.
Strong handson expertise in Python and SQL with the capability to design robust analytical frameworks challenge existing methods and set standards for code quality and modelling approaches.
Excellent communication and presentation skills able to translate complex analytical findings into clear insight for both technical and nontechnical senior stakeholders influencing decisions across the business.
A numerate degree such as Mathematics Statistics or a related subject with the ability to apply advanced analytical concepts in a commercial setting.
