Job Summary

POSITION TITLE: Special Education Paraprofessional FLSA: Non-ExemptREPORTS TO: District LEA & Principal LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 178 daysMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associates degree 60 college credit hours or passing score on ParaPro Praxis exam or other acceptable measures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Share and lead the vision to create an individualized education program for each all targeted interventions and assisting in courses as between instructors and individual or small group in implementing behavior management clerical duties which may include: collection and recording of data preparing classroom materials and entering data into a computer conferences or meetings as deemed appropriate/ appropriate training sessions. If applicable annually obtain a specified number of professional development students to general education classroom cafeteria playground restroom and or other locations on the school in community based instruction student programming assessments and/or screenings per instrument administration guidelines/evaluator familiar with technology and have the capacity to learn quickly. Demonstrate the willingness to learn procedures when working with students and have a solid understanding of classroom in the implementation of the IEP goals for the purpose of meeting IEP goals and/or district the required module trainings required by ADE for paraprofessionalsParticipates in the implementation of student behavior plans for the purpose of ensuring effective and safe student instruction under the supervision of the teacher to the students in a variety of individual or group activities for the purpose of reinforcing instructional objectives; implementing IEP plans and ensuring students success in emotional control under duties as assigned.
