Job Summary
The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Some of these courses serve LMUs Core Curriculum ( The candidate may also teach upper division electives within the candidates area of expertise. Candidates will help with the Chemistry and Biochemistry Departments assessment curriculum updates and may be asked to represent the department on relevant College or University committees.
Successful candidates must have an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Chemistry and Biochemistry or a closely related field before the appointment commences. They must be committed to excellence in teaching our diverse student population and to work to promote equitable and inclusive classrooms and collaboration spaces.
