Job Summary

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise the entire despatch day-to-day operations oflocal transport strategies and plan to ensure delivery ontime with minimum cost. This includes fleet utilizationroute planning and vendor service commitments.

Job Responsibilities:

Support superior in managing day-to-day operatingexpenditures against operating budgets to ensureefficient usage of resources.
Execute local transport strategies plans and processesto ensure delivery on time with minimum cost and inalignment with Groups policy.
Prepare transport schedule including mode and route toensure everyday deliveries (in full and on time).
Coordinate resources required including manpowerresources trucks and drivers to ensure efficienttransport operations.
Coordinate communication and resolve vendorsperformance/issue to ensure fulfullment of contractualservice commitments.
Design and coordinate strategies and plans to optimizetruck capacity (time cube and weight) delivery on timeand minimizing cost per unit.
Investigate any incidents and take appropriatecorrective/preventive action promptly.
Leverage on transport management system (TMS) in scheduling data management and reporting.
Provide constructive solutions to operational challenges to enhance productivity and minimize costs.
Handle customers inquiries requests and complaints related to delivery billing statements preparations andvalidations.
Establish and maintain effective communication with vendors customers and suppliers for optimum deliveryto customers.

Job Requirements:

Diploma/certificate in Business Administration SupplyChain Management Logistics Management or relatedfield.
Minimum one to three years experience in a similarrole.
Demonstrate basic knowledge in warehousingdistribution transport inventory and supply chainprocesses.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of day-to-day running of a transport operation.
Demonstrate working understanding of network design methodologies and relevant systems.
Demonstrate working knowledge of transport management system (TMS) and SAP warehouse management (WM) module.
Proven experience in transportation and vendor management.
Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactionsDemonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel Word and PowerPoint).
Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally inEnglish both written and spoken.
