Manager CFMC (Cyber Fraud Mitigation Centre) - LEA

Role Purpose:

The incumbent will be based at the CFMC office representing HSBC. Core responsibilities include engaging with law enforcement agencies that request information from the Bank ensuring all submissions are accurate and delivered within stipulated timeframes. The role involves close collaboration with the LEA team and the Law enforcement agencies. Additionally the role holder will conduct initial account reviews and implement account blocks as required under the guidance of the LEA team lead.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Interim Custody and Restoration

Placing holds managing interim custody and restoring amounts related to transactions flagged in accounts reported via the Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System (CFCFRMS).

  • Suspension and Restoration of Digital Banking Services

Suspending and reinstating digital banking services for accounts suspected of involvement in cybercrime as identified through CFCFRMS.

  • Seizure and Release of Assets

Seizing and releasing bank accounts financial instruments or other assets suspected to be linked to cybercrimes based on CFCFRMS reports.

  • Alternative Processes for Interim Custody

Implementing five alternative procedures for interim custody and restoration of defrauded amounts to victims.

  • Disposal of Unclaimed Proceeds

Managing the disposal of unclaimed proceeds resulting from cybercrime incidents.

  • Grievance Redressal Mechanism

Facilitating grievance redressal for actions taken by law enforcement agencies and payment entities based on information provided by CFCFRMS.

  • Work closely with LEA team and IWPB FMS team on highlighting the learning from other banks on a periodic basis

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

University (BA or BS)
