Software Design Assurance Engineer
Aversan Inc.() is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace defence and space industries.
We are currently seeking a qualified Software Design Assurance Engineer to join our team. The candidate will review and assess suppliers airborne software and electronic hardware designs to ensure they meet technical requirements and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Review and assess suppliers airborne software and electronic hardware designs to ensure they meet technical requirements and regulatory requirements
- Participate in preliminary and critical system design reviews
- Review and assess suppliers airborne software and electronic hardware certification plans
- Assess suppliers airborne software and electronic (FPGA ASIC PLD) designs
- Perform technical and process audits at suppliers facilities
- Perform safety of flight reviews
- Assess software and hardware test results and analyses and determine final compliance status
- Lead the resolution of safety compliance or technical deficiencies with the suppliers and stakeholders
- Prepare and/or review design compliance reports
- Contribute to evolution of the Software and Electronics domain roadmap
- Mentor less experienced professionals
Qualifications:
- A university engineering degree in Electronics Software Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Strong experience with performing software design assurance as per DO-178B/C
- Strong experience working on electronics hardware projects (FPGA) in avionics.
- Proficient in software programming languages (C C Ada95 Assembly Python etc.)
- Knowledge of requirements capture environments (DOORS JAMA)
