Base Compensation Range: $21.51/ hour $26.92/ hour

This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

This position supports Mesas Calibration Solutions business. Our Calibration Solutions portfolio uses the principles of advanced metrology to enable customers to measure and calibrate critical parameters in applications such as Environmental and Process Monitoring Dialysis Gas Flow Air Quality and Torque Testing.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Specialist III is responsible for performing comprehensive inspections and tests to ensure that products meet established quality standards and specifications. Maintain quality assurance processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:

Conduct detailed inspections and tests on incoming materials in-process products and finished goods to verify compliance with quality specifications.

Utilize various measurement tools and techniques to assess product quality including visual inspection and functional testing.

Documentation and Reporting:

Accurately document inspection results including non-conformance reports and corrective actions taken.

Prepare and maintain quality reports that summarize findings trends and recommendations for improvements.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with production engineering and supply chain teams to address quality-related issues in a timely manner.

Communicate inspection results and quality metrics effectively to relevant stakeholders.

Quality Improvement Initiatives:

Participate in root cause analysis for defects and collaborate with teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous quality enhancement efforts.

Standards Compliance:

Ensure adherence to industry standards regulatory requirements and internal quality procedures.

Assist in conducting internal audits and support external audits as needed.

Training and Support:

Provide training and support to junior quality control staff on inspection techniques and quality standards.

Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement among team members.

Data Analysis:

Analyze quality data to identify trends deviations and areas needing attention.

Utilize statistical tools and software to assist in quality analysis and reporting.

Equipment Management:

Ensure that inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained according to established protocols.

Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as necessary.

Experience/Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in quality control or inspection with significant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge & Skillsets Required:

Strong understanding of quality control methodologies tools and standards (e.g. ISO Six Sigma).

Proficient in using measurement and inspection tools (e.g. calipers gauges testing equipment).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality data analysis software.

• Using computers: Typing and using office equipment.
• Lifting: Light less than 10 pounds.

• Workspace: Climate control (air conditioning or heating) to ensure comfort.
• Lighting: Adjustable lighting to reduce eye strain.
• Noise Levels: The noise level is moderate with occasional interruptions from phone calls and conversations. Use non-canceling headphones if necessary.
• Ergonomics: Workstations with desk and adjustable chairs to support good postures.
• Ventilation: Good ventilation to ensure a comfortable working environment though this can vary depending on the building.
