The Marketing Recruitment Admissions and Communications (MRAC) Department is seeking International Student Recruitment (Senior Administrative Executive) to join the Future Students team for international student recruitment. As the first point of contact for prospective international students and their parents the role holder plays a pivotal role in shaping positive student experiences and driving enrolment success. This role also actively engages and supports secondary/high school counsellors and partner education agents located in overseas.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage and support prospective international students and their parents schools and partner education agents by attending a range of student and engagement recruitment activities in overseas including school education fairs agent education exhibitions stakeholder recruitment events.
- Strong understanding of market (current and future trend) collatemarket intelligence and be able to make constructive feedback and recommendation of new business and execute international student recruitment strategies according to guidance and support by Line Manager.
- Provide counselling to prospective students and their parents with the accurate information including courses tuition fees scholarships and accommodation etc that offered by Heriot-Watt University Malaysia.
- Support the prospective students parents and partner education agents by answering their enquiries professionally in a timely manner.
- Collect and manage leads by making the necessary follow ups and conversion (Leads to Application Application to Offer Offer to Acceptance and Enrolments) by using CRM effectively.
- Update leads/application data into the database within the standard timeframe.
- Plan coordinate and organise events and activities workshops and on campus activities (physical and virtual) following the guideline and the support from Line Manager.
- Build and strengthen professional working relationships with internal stakeholders (the University academic schools) and external stakeholders (secondary/high school counsellors and partner education agents).
- To achieve student enrolment target through Leads to Application Application to Offer Offer to Acceptance and Enrolments.
- To work and travel on selected weekends and public holidays within Malaysia (West and East Malaysia). Occasionally to work outside of standard working hours during weekdays.
- To work on ad-hoc task when it is required to support the Future Student team

Essential
- Bachelor degree in Communication Psychology Business Marketing or relevant professional qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in sales or recruitment in Education industry
- People oriented with strong interpersonal skills - interested in networking and relationship building
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive with integrity and creative at work
- Strong work ethics and highly self-motivated with a focus on achieving results
- Experience in international student recruitment
- Knowledge of schools and education agent engagement
- Good in CRM and a suite of Microsoft Office applications
- Team player and work well with people from diverse background
- The role required to work and travel on selected weekends/public holidays and outside of standard working hours during weekdays.
Desirable
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages such as Mandarin are an advantage.
- Understand the UniversitysRecruitment cycle.
- Experience working in Malaysia or Foreign institution or education agency
