Senior Project Manager Group HR
We are looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to join our Group HR function and to be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of strategic complex and time critical initiatives across multiple business units geographies and stakeholder groups.
This is a highly autonomous role requiring a self-sufficient delivery leader who can quickly establish control make sound decisions and drive outcomes at pace. The role demands excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to lead organizational. The Senior Project Manager will also leverage AI and digital tools to deliver smarter faster and more effective project outcomes.

What youll be doing:
Strategic & Complex Delivery
- Lead the endtoend delivery of largescale complex and fasttracked initiatives with enterprisewide impact.
- Rapidly translate strategic intent into clear delivery approaches prioritised plans and measurable outcomes.
- Apply pragmatic delivery methods to meet compressed timelines without compromising governance or quality.
SelfSufficient Leadership
- Operate with a high degree of independence and accountability requiring minimal direction once objectives are set.
- Quickly assess ambiguous or complex environments establish clarity and take decisive action.
- Anticipate issues unblock constraints and drive momentum proactively.
Communication & Presentation Excellence
- Act as a credible and confident communicator at all levels including Executive and Boardlevel stakeholders.
- Produce and deliver clear concise and compelling presentations that simplify complex issues and support decisionmaking.
- Tailor messaging for different audiences ensuring alignment engagement and transparency.
Governance Risk & Control
- Establish and maintain strong project governance aligned to Capita standards and audit requirements.
- Own all core project artefacts including PIDs plans RAID financials dependencies and reporting.
- Provide accurate insightled reporting clearly articulating risks tradeoffs and recommendations.
AIEnabled & Smarter Delivery
- Actively leverage AI automation and digital tools to improve planning reporting risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Seek out and apply smarter more efficient ways of working to accelerate delivery and reduce manual effort.
- Champion innovation in project delivery approaches while maintaining appropriate controls.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
- Lead engagement across multiple senior stakeholders business units and thirdparty suppliers.
- Manage conflicting priorities and expectations driving alignment to enterprise outcomes.
- Hold suppliers and partners to account for delivery quality and value.
Financial & Benefits Management
- Manage project budgets forecasts and benefits realisation with strong financial discipline.
- Ensure delivery decisions balance pace cost risk and value.
What we are looking for:
Essential
- Significant experience delivering strategic complex multistakeholder projects in large matrix organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and decisively in fastpaced ambiguous environments.
- Exceptional communication storytelling and presentation skills including Executivelevel forums.
- Strong governance risk dependency and financial management capability.
- Practical experience using AI digital tools to enhance delivery effectiveness.
Desirable
- Experience delivering enterprise transformation technology HR payroll or shared services programmes.
- Experience working to accelerated or fasttrack timelines.
- Professional project management certification (APM PRINCE2 MSP Agile or equivalent).
