Randstad is seeking a high-caliber Senior Technical Infrastructure Project Manager to join a premier transportation and delivery portfolio team in Washington D.C. This pivotal role drives the end-to-end execution of complex high-availability technology programs specifically focusing on critical network infrastructure optical transport and data center connectivity. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and executive-level delivery managing the full project lifecycle from initiation to implementation. The ideal candidate will be a PMP-certified leader capable of maintaining 100% uptime during hardware deployments while navigating rigorous change management protocols and multi-million dollar budget forecasting within a mission-critical enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery: Lead the execution of large-scale network infrastructure projects including IP routing/switching optical turnups and data center integration.
- Technical Integration: Translate complex network engineering specifications into actionable project plans milestones and technical deliverables.
- Risk & Uptime Management: Proactively identify technical blockers and hardware delivery risks implementing mitigation strategies to ensure zero-impact deployments and system stability.
- Financial & Resource Oversight: Perform rigorous budget forecasting resource allocation and schedule re-baselining to keep projects within scope and under budget.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate seamlessly between network architects system engineers and external vendors for site surveys and hardware installations.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to DT change management configuration management and network security protocols (ITIL/SDN).
- Reporting: Manage and publish high-level technical status reports tracking KPIs action item logs and executive-level project health summaries.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Network Security or a related technical field.
- Experience: 10 years of hands-on technical program/project management experience specifically within infrastructure or network engineering environments.
- Certification: PMP Certification is required.
- Methodology: Expert proficiency in Agile methodologies and the ability to apply them to hardware-heavy infrastructure projects.
