Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer

Location: Austin or Dallas Texas (Travel to Site 1 x every other week) (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Range: $70 to $75

Position Overview: The Network Engineer Cisco Generalist will support enterprise network operations across routing/switching WiFi firewalls and cyber tools. This role focuses on ensuring stability performance and security across a multi-vendor environment while assisting with modernization efforts including transitioning WiFi infrastructure and strengthening security posture.

Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day network operations across Cisco environments (routing switching wireless and general network services).
Manage Cisco and Aruba wireless networks including assisting in transition efforts to Cisco WiFi.
Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls.
Support cyber tooling ecosystems including Palo Alto Varonis CyberArk and related platforms.
Monitor and optimize network and security system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and implement improvements.
Document network configurations standards and operational procedures.
Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Travel to surrounding areas as needed for onsite troubleshooting support.

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in enterprise networking.
Strong knowledge of Cisco networking (routing switching general network services).
Experience with Cisco and Aruba wireless environments (Aruba experience acceptable with willingness to transition to Cisco).
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
Exposure to cyber tools such as Palo Alto Varonis CyberArk or similar platforms.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

WiFi: Cisco & Aruba (Aruba environment migrating to Cisco)
Firewalls: Palo Alto
Cyber Tooling: Palo Alto Varonis CyberArk etc.
