Key Responsibilities
- MongoDB Administration
- Install configure upgrade and maintain MongoDB databases across environments Dev Test Prod Ive an opxperience Viva Engage Hello Everuirements Viva Engage
- Monitor MongoDB performance replication and availability
- Perform regular backups and restore operations logical and physical and validate recovery procedures
- Implement security best practices including authentication authorization and rolebased access
- Troubleshoot MongoDB issues related to performance connectivity replication and storage
- Collaborate with application teams to optimize schema design and queries
- MySQL Administration
- Install configure and maintain MySQL databases
- Execute database backups restores and disaster recovery procedures Backup ands in MySQL Viva Learning
- Monitor MySQL performance capacity and availability
- Perform database tuning indexing and query optimization
- Manage users privileges and data security
- Handle upgrades patching and routine maintenance tasks
- Backup Restore DR Management
- Design and maintain backup strategies for MongoDB and MySQL
- Conduct regular restore testing to ensure data recoverability
- Maintain documentation for backup restore and DR processes
- Support audits and compliance requirements related to data protection
- Monitoring Support
- Monitor database health and proactively address issues
- Participate in incident management root cause analysis and preventive actions
- Provide oncall or production support as required
- Maintain operational documentation and SOPs
Required Skills Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in MongoDB andor MySQL database administration
- Strong knowledge of backup restore and recovery strategies
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
- Handson experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production databases
- Familiarity with LinuxUnix environments
- Basic scripting knowledge Shell Python or similar is a plus
- Strong problemsolving and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloudmanaged databases eg MongoDB Atlas AWS RDS
- Exposure to high availability replication and disaster recovery setups
- Knowledge of compliance and security best practices
