You will be trusted to: -Provides engineering designs work for substation engineering projects for new and existing installations applying standard designs department procedures and engineering standard methodologies. -Ensure compliance with NESC RUS and other relevant industry standards. -Coordinate the grounding and shielding design to ensure the safety and reliability of substation operations. -Work closely with other engineers project managers and collaborators to successfully implement design solutions. -Conduct rigorous technical assessments and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. -Prepare detailed documentation and reports to support project planning and execution. -Mentor and guide junior engineers encouraging a collaborative and inclusive work environment. |
You qualify with: - Bachelors degree in engineering engineering technology engineering physics biosystems engineering mathematical science physical science or related science plus one or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job. - Drivers license You are a great fit with: -A bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related field. -Experience in substation electrical design. -Experience working on large-scale high-impact substation projects including site selection substation configuration permitting and regulatory bus design grounding and ground grid design lightning and shielding protection major substation equipment expansion and upgrade of existing substations. -A track record of successfully implementing innovative engineering solutions. -Strong leadership and mentoring skills. -Knowledge of CAD software grounding and shielding software and other substation engineering design related tools. -Knowledge of IEEE NESC and RUS electrical substation standards. -Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to strictly adhere to project deadlines. -Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. |
