Job Summary
Material Handler is responsible for putting material away in locations as designated by the receiving lead. Receive and unload inbound containers build pallets to set quantity based on SKU hand wrap and tag pallets. Cross-train on all forklift/swing reach. Responsible for performing general warehouse duties as needs dictate. This is not strictly an operator position. The individual must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds be required to unload overseas containers by hand and assist in project builds as deemed necessary to meet the commitments of the DC.
As a Warehouse Associate for our client you will be responsible for:
- Ensure all material is put in correct locations
- Be available for all departments
- Load unload pack and unpack materials
- Operate all machinery responsibly and safely
- Perform daily equipment checks before operating machinery
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Education and Experience:
- Must be forklift certifiable
- Must understand the location configuration
- Must be able to manage their time and work without direct supervision
- Must be very detail oriented
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about tasks issues and inventory status
- Forklift experience is a plus
Must be able to pass background and Drug Test
