Job Summary

As an intern within the Group Strategy team you step into one of the most dynamic and forwardlooking parts of Ahold Delhaize. Our team sets the longterm direction of the company drives strategic initiatives across different markets and supports the Executive Committee on critical topics. You help ensure that our brands continue enabling customers to eat well save time and live betternow and in the future.

Your new role and workplace.
As a Group Strategy Intern you will directly contribute to Ahold Delhaizes overarching strategic priorities. You wont do this aloneyoull work closely with colleagues within the Group Strategy team which collaborates intensively with business leaders in Europe and the US and with key functions such as Technology Finance HR and Sustainability.

You will support the Head of Strategy & M&A and the wider Strategy team by delivering insights preparing decisionmaking materials and advancing strategic practice this includes:

Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses on market trends innovations consumer behavior and competition.
Preparing presentations memos and storylines for senior stakeholders.
Supporting workshops strategic reviews and project planning.
Helping shape strategic recommendations for longterm growth and transformation.

What you will learn.
You will gain deep insight into how strategy is developed and executed within an international organization. Youll see how strategic priorities are defined how datadriven insights support executive decisions and how crosscountry crossfunctional and crossbrand collaboration works in practice.
You will work with colleagues at Group level in regions and within brandsgiving you broad exposure across the company. This internship ishandson analytical and highly collaborative with plenty of room to take ownership and internship is 3240 hours per week partly at our headquarters in Zaandam and partly remote.

You are currently pursuing an HBO or WO bachelors or masters degree preferably in Business Administration Economics Data/Analytics or a related field.
You feel comfortable analyzing data structuring insights and developing recommendations.
You have excellent communication skills in English.
(Bonus) You have experience with consultingtype projects.
You bring strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

And you are:

Someone who takes initiative and shows ownership.
A natural connector who collaborates easily and keeps stakeholders informed.
Curious and structured able to quickly understand complex topics and extract the essence.
