Job Description:
- Transferring samples from the incubation room to the micro lab for daily testing.
- Preparing and sanitizing the micro lab and testing samples.
- Sorting clearing and properly disposing of tested samples.
- Assisting with inventory and stock management of lab supplies and materials.
- Performing general preventative maintenance and cleaning of QC equipment and the micro lab.
- Preparing cleaning sanitizing and maintaining supplies and work areas including the incubation room micro lab and sample storage areas.
- Assisting with sorting products in cases and laying samples on pallets when required.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and monitoring of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Reporting any safety concerns or issues to the Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Team Leader promptly.
Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on the night shift which operates from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. The hourly rate for the role is $20.04 with a night shift premium of $1
About You:
Youll fit right in if you have:
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience supporting QC Technicians in a laboratory environment is preferred
- 1 year of experience in a Food Manufacturing environment is an asset
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work periodically in a warm environment Incubation/Hot Room
