Objective of the role (Why)
Asset risk (Residual Value Repair Maintenance Tyres) is the main risk of Ayvens. Asset risk management is key to achieve the strategic and financial objectives of the company.
Ayvens is currently strengthening the central LOD1 Asset risk function to reinforce the risk framework in the context of changing technological and macroeconomic conditions.
Asset risk is key at the crossroads of strategy pricing risk and finance.
Ensure that business activities related to asset (risk) management are conducted in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements and policies.
The role of LOD1 is to take and manage asset risk to achieve strategic and financial company objectives within the limits of Ayvens risk appetite by identifying assessing and responding to risks related to asset management in particular through Asset (risk) management reporting & steering necessary to better understand risks optimize decision-making resources allocation and profitability while managing the volatility.
Areas of responsibilities (What)
Asset risk - Residual Value (RV) Pricing
Develop and maintain group asset risk management governance policies guidelines procedures and internal controls to safeguard company vehicle assets and risk taking and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and business reporting.
Ensure group policies are implemented in local entities and support them in taking and managing asset risk to achieve the local and Group-wide strategic ambitions.
Determine best practices for RV pricing methodologies including data collection and cleaning RV prediction model development (type(s) of regression model programming language etc.) translation into quote pricing.
Define minimum requirements for technical and commercial RV pricing.
Support local entities with RV setting and implementation of minimum requirements ensuring compliance with the group policies.
Assess and manage the risks associated with RV fluctuations and pricing structures developing strategies to minimize potential losses due to market volatility changes in vehicle demand or inaccurate RV forecasts.
Regularly review and adjust RV pricing methodologies and models to reflect changes in the market vehicle supply and demand and regulatory factors.
Expand scope from RV to Repair Maintenance and Tyres (RMT).
Data analytics and reporting
Develop and maintain advanced analytical models to support the RV pricing and forecasting processes.
Provide regular reports to senior management on RV performance pricing strategies market conditions and risk exposure.
Present insights and recommendations for RV pricing adjustments and model updates based on data analysis and market conditions.
Stakeholder collaboration
Serve as a key liaison between finance risk other departments and local entities providing expertise and support to drive business results.
Manage relations with asset risk (second line of defence) operations finance and commerce teams in various topics to align business and finance objectives and ensure compliance with group policies. Have group policies (and renewals) approved by commerce and by risk.
Work closely with senior leadership commercial teams and external partners to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.
Leadership
Mentor team and local pricing members providing guidance and support for their development in vehicle asset management and pricing.
Lead projects and initiatives within the pricing and risk management team driving continuous improvement in pricing processes and RV forecasting techniques.
