Department: Warehouse Operations

Location: Lakeland FL

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm Mon - Fri)

Position Description

The Production Supervisor coordinates the functions that support the production line. The Supervisor will be responsible for all production line personnel and ensuring all activities are performed in compliance with SOPs and company position willlead a team of hourly associates to achieve various operational goals including productivity excellent customer service a safe work environment positive and effective employee relations and motivation.

What you will do:

  • Manage and lead 15-20 associates in a fast-paced warehouse distribution team environment where we assist our wide range of clients with the needs and demands of their supply chains.

  • Manage the day-to-day duties including but not limited to outbound/inbound activities inventory control staffing decisions and employee development

  • Achieve operational goals that will provide acceptable levels of profitability and client satisfaction by meeting and exceeding productivity standards

  • Deliver excellence in service to our clients by achieving performance goals through KPI monitoring LEAN principles and process improvement

  • Lead and maintain a clean professional and safe work environment

  • Effectively communicate goals expectations areas for improvement and successes to associates

  • Coach train and mentor associates allowing them the opportunity to grow and develop

  • Provide supervision and execution of the production schedule

  • Manage inventory of finished goods WIP and raw materials through the WMS system

  • Coordinate staffing of temporary and permanent labor

  • Ensure adequate training of line staff

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Improve efficiencies and reduce downtime of equipment

  • Track production and report numbers daily

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED is required

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production/warehouse environment

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Forklift certified

  • Highly organized self-starter proficient in the use of PC/MS office suite

  • Strong interpersonal communications and relationship management skills with hourly and salaried associates as well as good customer relations skills

  • Must be able to meet objectives with minimal direction from supervision and make sound business decisions

  • Ability to lead and direct staff

  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to work flexible hours
