Quality Staffing Inc. also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the areas top companies is looking for experienced Product & Agile Transformation Coachesto work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Finance & Administration Strategic Technology Solutions Division (TN F&A STS) located in Nashville TN.This is a hybrid position working from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Fridayfor a total of 37.5 hours and the pay rate for this position is $86.00 per hour.
Product & Agile Transformation Coach Job Description:
The Strategic Technology Solutions division within the Department of Finance & Administration is seeking experienced Product & Agile Transformation Coaches to support teams transitioning from project-based delivery to a product-centric operating model and from waterfall delivery to agile ways of working. This role will focus on coaching teams leaders and partners through practical sustainable change while aligning delivery practices with organizational goals and constraints. Coaches will work alongside IT leadership product managers delivery teams and governance partners to embed product-centric thinking modern delivery practices and continuous improvement. This position will require periodic in-office meetings; travel to the office will not be reimbursed and candidates MUST BE LOCAL TO THE NASHVILLE AREA.
Key Responsibilities for Product & Agile Transformation Coach position:
- Coach teams and leaders through the transition from project-centric to product-oriented delivery.
- Support the shift from waterfall delivery methods to agile and hybrid agile practices.
- Provide hands-on coaching to:
- Product Managers/Product Owners
- Delivery Managers/Scrum Masters
- Cross-functional technical teams
- Help teams establish and refine:
- Product vision pipelines and roadmaps
- Outcome-based planning and metrics
- Backlog management and prioritization practices
- Assess current delivery practices and recommend pragmatic improvement approaches.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions (e.g. agile fundamentals product mindset team charters).
- Partner with leadership to align:
- Governance and funding models
- Intake and prioritization processes
- Delivery metrics and reporting
- Support teams in adapting agile practices to enterprise or public-sector constraints.
- Model servant leadership continuous improvement and psychological safety.
- Provide feedback observations and recommendations to leadership throughout the engagement.
Experience and Qualification Requirements for Product & Agile Transformation Coach position:
- Proven success coaching teams through project product and waterfall agile transitions.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams (engineering business analysts QA operations security data).
- Strong understanding of:
- Agile and lean principles
- Product management practices
- Incremental and iterative delivery models
- Ability to coach at multiple levels (team product leadership).
- Excellent facilitation coaching and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in complex matrixed or highly regulated environments.
Preferred Experience for Product & Agile Transformation Coach position:
- Experience in public sector government or large enterprise transformations.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as:
- Scrum Kanban XP
- SAFe LeSS or other scaling approaches (used pragmatically not dogmatically)
- Experience evolving governance and funding models to support product delivery.
- Change management or organizational design experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Agile Coach SAFEe SPC ICP-ACC/ATF PMP transitioning to agile).
Deliverables for Product & Agile Transformation Coach position may include:
- Agile and product maturity assessments.
- Team and leadership coaching plans.
- Product and delivery working agreements.
- Training materials and workshop outputs.
- Recommendations for sustained product and agile practices.
