Job description:

He/she will serve as the primary technical authority for supply chain planning system implementations and optimizations bridging the gap between business stakeholders and data engineering teams.

He/she will drive end-to-end delivery of complex supply chain transformation programs leveraging industry-leading platforms including John Galt Atlas Planning Blue Yonder and Kinaxis (in order of preference).

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in demand planning and MRP/production planning modules a strong command of SQL and data engineering practices and the communication skills needed to translate complex technical solutions into clear business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Platform Implementation & Advisory -
* Lead full-cycle implementations and configuration of John Galt Atlas Planning Blue Yonder (JDA) or Kinaxis RapidResponse modules including Demand Planning MRP and Production Planning.
* Design and optimize planning workflows master data structures and system integrations across supply chain platforms.
* Provide expert-level technical guidance on system architecture data flows and best-practice configuration aligned to client business requirements.
* Conduct gap analyses between current-state processes and target-state system capabilities; define actionable roadmaps.
Data Engineering & SQL Development
* Develop complex SQL queries stored procedures and data transformation pipelines to support supply chain analytics and reporting.
* Design and build scalable data models for demand signals inventory positions supplier lead times and production capacity.
* Architect ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate source ERP systems (SAP Oracle) with planning platforms and downstream reporting layers.
* Ensure data quality consistency and traceability across planning datasets; implement data validation frameworks.
Analytics & Insights Delivery
* Develop demand sensing and statistical forecasting models to improve forecast accuracy and inventory efficiency.
* Build advanced analytics dashboards (Power BI Tableau or similar) surfacing KPIs such as OTIF forecast bias fill rates and inventory turns.
* Partner with analytics and data science teams to apply ML-driven approaches to demand forecasting and supply risk identification.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
* Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
* Lead and facilitate workshops design sessions and executive readouts across business and IT stakeholders.
* Produce high-quality documentation including functional specifications data dictionaries solution design documents and training materials.
* Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge management and methodology development.

Required Qualifications
Platform Experience
* 6-8 years of hands-on consulting or implementation experience with John Galt Atlas Planning software Blue Yonder (JDA) or Kinaxis RapidResponse.
* Deep expertise in at least two of the following modules:
* Demand Planning / Demand Management
* MRP / Material Requirements Planning
* Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling
* S&OP / IBP (Integrated Business Planning)
* Proven track record of at least three full-lifecycle supply chain platform implementations in a consulting or client-facing capacity.
Technical Skills
* Advanced SQL proficiency: complex joins window functions CTEs performance tuning and query optimization across large datasets.
* Strong data engineering skills including ETL/ELT design data pipeline development and integration architecture.
* Proficiency in at least one data engineering or scripting language (Python Spark or equivalent).
* Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake Azure Synapse AWS Redshift or Google BigQuery.
* Familiarity with version control (Git) CI/CD practices and modern data stack tooling.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels from data engineers to C-suite executives.

Preferred Qualifications -
* Formal certification in any one of John Galt Atlas Planning Blue Yonder Kinaxis SAP IBP or equivalent supply chain planning platforms.
* Experience in FMCG food & beverage retail or consumer goods verticals.
* Knowledge of CPG and Food and Beverage manufacturing.
* Exposure to statistical forecasting methods including Holt-Winters ARIMA Bass Diffusion or ML-based demand sensing approaches.
* Experience with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA Oracle SCM or Microsoft Dynamics in a data integration context.
* Familiarity with modern BI/visualization tools: Power BI Tableau or Looker.
