The Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA) is a partnership between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Fulton Hogan and WSP. The WTA is responsible for managing the maintenance and operations programme for the state highways and roading networks of the Greater Wellington Region and for delivering high service standards to the people and roading network of the region.
Join us as a Senior Regulatory Planner
We have an opportunity for a Senior Regulatory Planner to join the WTA Activity & Planning Team. This role supports the Alliance by ensuring all works meet environmental planning and regulatory requirements. Youll help us maintain strong relationships with councils Iwi DOC and other key partners while guiding our teams and contractors through the consents approvals and condition compliance.
In this position youll manage global consents assess upcoming activities secure the necessary permits and consents and provide expert regulatory advice from early design through to delivery. Youll also help monitor compliance manage consent conditions and coordinate specialist inputs across ecology heritage noise and water quality when required. You will also be involved in capital project handovers in the Wellington region.
This role is ideal for someone with planning or resource management experience who enjoys working across a wide range of project types and collaborating with both internal teams and external agencies.
