Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Legal Assistant to support multiple attorneys and practice groups within a dynamic law firm environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on variety can quickly shift priorities and enjoys working across different legal disciplines.
The floater will provide coverage for legal assistants during absences assist with overflow work and support high-demand projects ensuring seamless operations across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys across various practice areas
Prepare revise and format legal documents correspondence and filings
Manage calendars schedule meetings and coordinate deadlines
Handle court filings (state and federal) including e-filing
Maintain and organize case files (electronic and physical)
Assist with time entry billing and expense reports
Conduct basic legal research and gather case-related materials
Coordinate travel arrangements and client meetings as needed
Serve as backup support for legal assistants and other administrative staff
Assist with special projects and overflow assignments
Qualifications
3 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role within a law firm
Strong knowledge of legal terminology court rules and filing procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint)
Experience with document management and billing systems preferred
Excellent organizational multitasking and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
