Job Summary

Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for establishing value-added relationships with members understanding their financial needs and offering solutions to meet those needs. Serves as a trusted resource to credit union members by providing personalized financial guidance investment strategies estate planning and retirement planning services. Builds long-term relationships with members by understanding their unique financial goals and providing tailored solutions. Assists members in acquiring loans and opening consumer and business deposit accounts. Fosters strong member relationships by delivering exceptional service maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the credit unions mission. Promotes the credit unions vision mission and core values.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identifies members financial needs and recommends appropriate financial products and services.
  • Prospects within the credit union by establishing relationships with member contact associates for member referrals and introductions.
  • Engages in activities that enable access to those members who may not frequently utilize the branch.
  • Prospects outside the credit union to bring in new member relationships.
  • Sells effectively by establishing relationships with members finding their needs and offering appropriate solutions and educating the member in order for them to see the value understand the features and benefits of the solution.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant financial regulations policies and procedures to maintain the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Assists individuals in establishing membership and opening deposit product accounts according to established policies and procedures.
  • Originates processes and closes consumer loans according to established policies and procedures.
  • Builds relationships in the community attending events volunteer activities member education events and connecting with businesses and organizations.
  • Recommends and offers ancillary products for loans.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge on all current loan policies and procedures.
  • Travel to branches in surrounding locations for member appointments.

Qualifications

  • Proven and documented record of success in investment sales.
  • Strong communication skills; understanding how to tailor product and service solutions to members with differing needs.
  • Demonstrated experience of building relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to be personable and have member conversations.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle confidential information in a professional manner.

Educational/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance Business Economics or a related field
  • FINRA Series 7 License
  • FINRA Series 66 (preferably) or Series 63 License
  • Experience as a financial/wealth advisor is preferred.
