Contract Type: Temporary Assignment
Schedule & Shift:
Schedule: 58-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
Shift: Evening (3:30 PM 12:00 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Alternating weekends
Compensation:
Travelers: $3200/week
Local Candidates: $2625/week
Job Overview:
A healthcare facility in New York is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor to oversee nursing operations within a Long-Term Acute Care / Vent Unit setting. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who can ensure high-quality patient care regulatory compliance and effective staff coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate nursing staff and daily unit operations
Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing teams
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
Monitor and maintain patient care quality and safety standards
Act as a liaison between nursing staff departments and leadership
Support staffing workflow management and operational efficiency
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of acute care supervisory experience
Experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) or Vent Unit preferred
Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g. Joint Commission)
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
Licensure & Certifications:
Active New York State RN License
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
