Overview
Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for Registered Vascular Sonographer / Specialist (RVS) to work with us in support of the East Orange VA Medical Center located at 385 Tremont Avenue East Orange NJ 07018. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Responsibilities
- Perform vascular ultrasound examinations using diagnostic ultrasound equipment including:
- Cerebral peripheral and abdominal vascular studies
- Doppler imaging waveform analysis and intracranial exams
- Capture document and evaluate highquality diagnostic images
- Enter preliminary findings and reports into the VA electronic health record (CPRS/VistA)
- Communicate results clearly and professionally with VA providers
- Review consults and assist with appropriate scheduling of vascular studies
- Serve as a liaison between the vascular lab providers and patients
- Maintain ultrasound equipment manage supplies and perform basic troubleshooting
- Ensure patient safety infection control and compliance with VA policies
- Respond to patient and provider inquiries
- Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings
- Complete required documentation including notes for delayed or pending studies
- Adhere to all VA clinical ethical and professional standards
Qualifications
- Registered Vascular Sonographer / Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification through CCI
- Active full unrestricted license to practice vascular ultrasound in any U.S. state or territory
- Minimum 2 years of experience performing vascular ultrasound studies
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and disease processes
- Proficiency with Doppler imaging and advanced vascular exams
- Ability to document and communicate clinical findings accurately
- Fluent in English (read write speak)
- Ability to pass VA background checks (NCHC and NACI)
- No sponsorship available
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
