Job Summary
Background
BorgWarner Landskrona is part of a global technology leader driving the transition toward cleaner more efficient mobility solutions. The site playsa central rolein developing and manufacturing advanced propulsion technologies used across the automotive industry.
This thesis will focus on packaging and packaging waste. Packaging influences qualitylogisticsefficiency productionflowandenvironmental impact. Canwe redesign our packaging to use less packaging materials without compromising quality and production flow
Challenge
Your thesis will focus onwaste minimization in packaging designwithin BorgWarners operational context. The challenge lies in finding solutions that reduce material use and environmental impact without compromising the demanding requirements of industrial production.
How can packaging be redesigned to minimize waste whileremainingfully compatible with BorgWarners production andlogisticssystemsas well as high quality demands
What design strategies ensure compliance with PPWR without limiting innovation or operational efficiency
How can sustainability goals be balanced with costquality demandsmanufacturability and global supply chain constraints
Where do current packaging practices fall short and what practical scalable improvements can be implemented
This thesis project places you at the intersection ofengineering sustainability and regulatory strategy giving you access to real packaging flowscross functionalexpertise and the chance to influence future packaging standards at a major industrial site.
Project is suitable for 1-2 students preferably as a master thesis to be able to implement the result in production and evaluate the outcome.
Being fluent in Swedish is not a requirement.
Reporting
Written report oralpresentationand implemented packaging changes.
