DescriptionJ.P. Morgan Trading Services provides a scalable end-to-end suite of securities financing andcollateral service across transaction types and asset classes through a custody agnostic platform to the buyside client base and supported by a robust client coverage model which includes the Relationship Management team.
As a Buyside Trading Services Relationship Manager you will beresponsible for and supporting the client relationship and organic revenue growth for the Trading Services Buyside client franchise in Australia and New Zealand. You will be expected to execute a broader client strategy with focus on retention strengthening existing relationships and revenue addition maintaining an awareness of the clients requirements in relation to market events and activities is essential.
Job responsibilities
- Understand all contractual obligations for assigned clients and ensure program is operating within those parameters
- Work closely with Securities Services partners (such as Sales and Client Service) and our global trading and product teams on revenue optimization opportunities and coordinated and integrated client coverage for shared clients
- Understanding and articulation of Buy-side Trading Services product and technology roadmap and how this differentiates J.P. Morgan
- Develop and execute an annual client strategy and calling plan; key focus on revenue optimization
- Understand and communicate market and regulatory developments (e.g. Uncleared Margin Rules) identifying potential revenue opportunities or impact and acting in a consultancy/advisory capacity to the client
- Be an escalation point of client delivery issues and work with all relevant internal J.P. Morgan parties to ensure proper focus and timely resolution
- Work directly with global Agency Securities Finance trading and investment desks on revenue optimization opportunities and present them to clients as applicable. More specifically understand and utilize trading desk and product commentary to identify and explore opportunities with clients based on their portfolio and parameters.
- Work with Margin Services and triparty product to focus on buy-side client opportunities.
- Partner closely with global Trading Services functional teams and Securities Services partners relating to all aspects of clients program requirements and coordination.
- Represent Trading Services to internal stakeholders.
- Occasional travel may be required
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelor degree or higher
- A basic understanding or experience with securities markets is a necessity
- Atleast 8 years of experience/knowledge in the financial services industry handling high profile and strategic institutional investor clients
- Ability to work well with data with strong analytical skills
- Strong controls focus
- Strong communication skills and to be a team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experienced in Securities Financing or Margin Services industry and in a client-facing role
- Confident presentation and negotiation skills
- Abilityto multi-task
- Strong ownership positive attitude and self-motivation proven to be accountable
