Job Description
As a Security Officer - Alarm Response Patrol in Honolulu HI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support students faculty staff and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication reporting concerns and documenting activity. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an education location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with access concerns disturbances and requests for assistance.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings common areas and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and report security-related concerns such as unsecured doors malfunctioning lights suspicious behavior and hazardous conditions and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports and support campus operations by directing individuals to appropriate resources and/or helping coordinate response with local authorities when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
