Toyota ASE-Certified Service Technician
Job Summary
The Toyota ASE-Certified Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing inspecting repairing and maintaining customer vehicles accurately efficiently and in accordance with Toyota factory standards. This role performs advanced mechanical electrical and diagnostic work while supporting quality safety customer satisfaction and Fix It Right the First Time (FIRFT) expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections diagnostics maintenance and repair work on Toyota vehicles and other makes as assigned following dealership and manufacturer standards
Utilize Toyota diagnostic systems service information and repair procedures to accurately identify and resolve vehicle concerns
Complete repairs thoroughly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and FIRFT standards
Perform and document Multi-Point Inspections (MPI) consistently on every applicable vehicle
Promptly communicate repair status completed inspections and any additional recommendations to the Assistant Service Manager/Service Advisor
Accurately document technician story cause correction and labor times on all repair orders in compliance with warranty and internal standards
Conduct road tests as needed to verify customer concerns and confirm repair completion while following all traffic laws and safety guidelines
Maintain current knowledge of Toyota technical information service bulletins recalls campaign procedures and evolving vehicle technology
Follow all Toyota warranty policies repair guidelines and dealership processes to ensure compliance and proper claim documentation
Maintain required ASE certifications and Toyota training progression consistent with assigned skill level and dealership expectations
Keep all tools shop equipment and work area clean secure organized and in safe working condition
Adhere to all workplace safety standards including proper use of shop equipment and personal protective equipment
Assist with team productivity and shop efficiency by working collaboratively with advisors foremen dispatch and other technicians
Skills & Qualifications
Strong diagnostic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to perform repairs efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly document findings repairs performed and recommended services
Strong attention to detail time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced service environment
Valid drivers license with an insurable driving record
Current ASE certification required; multiple ASE certifications preferred
Toyota certification and/or Toyota training completion preferred; ASE Master Technician status is a plus
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Automotive trade school technical college training or OEM-sponsored apprenticeship preferred
Prior dealership or Toyota service experience preferred
ASE certification required; Toyota factory training preferred
