Job Summary
We are currently hiring an Accountant to strengthen the accounting team at our Ubisoft Studio in Bucharest.
The Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities ensuring accurate financial records and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail solid knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
What youll do
Responsibilities:
- Record daily accounting transactions regarding bank statements expense reports and travel forms;
- Checking the travel expenses documents provide information and guidance to all the employees regarding the preparation of travel expense reports;
- Preparation of weekly payments and preparation of bank forms when needed;
- Maintain and update accounting records in line with legal requirements and internal procedures;
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities;
- Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (banks advances treasury accounts);
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal procedures.
Systems & Tools
- Use ERP system (e.g. PeopleSoft Oracle) to process transactions extract data and generate reports.
- Promote automation and digitalization initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization.
Qualifications :
The professional value you bring
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Economics.
- 23 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Previous experience in a corporate environment is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards (OMFP 1802/2014) and the Romanian Fiscal Code.
- Good knowledge in MS Office 365 especially in MS Excel.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
