NCS is seeking a highly skilled Senior D365 Functional Consultant for a critical 6-month contract engagement. This role is for a major digital transformation project focusing on the end-to-end functional design and scoping required to migrate from legacy on-premise to D365 Online.
As the lead functional authority for this initial 6-month period you will be responsible for defining the blueprint that will drive the subsequent development phase. Your mission is to move beyond a simple lift and shift instead focusing on modernizing processes simplifying complex legacy customizations and ensuring a scalable foundation for the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Discovery & Design: Facilitate and lead intensive workshops to define how business processes will be optimized within the D365 Online version.
- Process Architecture: Capture and document current-state vs. future-state business processes ensuring a clear roadmap for the migration.
- Requirements Engineering: Define detailed functional requirements identify potential gaps and map out critical technical dependencies.
- Strategic Scoping: Shape the overall functional design and migration approach providing the essential documentation for the upcoming RFP process.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with both Business and ICT stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for the new functional landscape.
Qualifications :
- D365 Migration Expertise: Proven experience leading the functional stream of On-Premise to D365 Online migrations.
- Modernization Mindset: Ability to identify where standard D365 capabilities can replace legacy customizations to improve security and supportability.
- Documentation Excellence: Expert-level skills in scoping functional design documentation and process mapping.
- Consultative Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholder groups during the discovery phase.
