Railcar Repair Team Member Lebanon, TN

R. J. Corman Railroad Company is seeking a Railcar Repair Team Member to join our team in Lebanon TN.

Accountability:âPerforms mechanical repairs including cutting welding and overall mechanical aptitude. Railcar inspections & repairs will be documented for verification and to ensure the workis beingdone correctly andin a timely manner.â

Responsibilities:ââ

• Welding cutting and mechanical type repairsâ

• Forklift operationâ

• Understanding of documenting work performed and recording material usageââ

• Ensure that paperwork for railcar repairs is complete and correctâ

• Ensure that repair jobs are completedin a timely mannerâ

• Ensure that vehicles and shops kept clean & safeâ

• Ensure that the employees are working in a safe mannerââ

• Assistwith inspection and repairs as neededâ

• Performs otherduties asassigned by management.â

Specialized or Technical Knowledge or Education and Experience:ââ

Railcar mechanical experience preferred must have a background in welding and cutting. Must havegood communicationand people skills withdemonstratedability to developteam workand work with all levels of personnel in achieving our goals.â

Physical Requirements:ââ

• Able to perform physical strenuous work

• Able tofrequentlybend stoop kneel and crouch

• Requires constant standing walking climbing stairs and ladders and balancingâin a safe mannerâ

• Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30lbs

• Perform a rapid horizontal hand torque action with a force of 100lbs
