Job Summary

As a Quality Improvement Specialist you will support pediatric quality initiatives across clinical operational and community settings with a primary focus on collaborative work such as this role youll apply improvement science and evidence-based methodologies to analyze performance measure outcomes and drive sustainable improvements aligned with organizational priorities regulatory requirements and best practices in pediatric health.

Youll partner closely with clinical leaders operational teams and community stakeholdersserving as a trusted liaison and change agentto advance continuous improvement efforts. Through data analysis benchmarking and hands-on collaboration youll help translate insight into action that improves care delivery and outcomes for our pediatric patients.

Job Summary

The HDVCH Quality Improvement Specialist supports pediatric quality improvement initiatives with a primary focus on work associated with the MICHEC collaborative. This role partners with clinical operational and community stakeholders to advance evidence-based pediatric quality strategies support data collection and reporting and facilitate continuous improvement efforts. The specialist contributes QI expertise to MICHEC activities while also providing broader pediatric quality improvement support aligned with organizational priorities regulatory requirements and best practices in pediatric health.

Essential Functions

  • Support and drive pediatric quality improvement initiatives aligned with organizational priorities including project management defined deliverables milestones and datainformed strategies.
  • Partner with clinical operational and community stakeholders across the Corewell Health System serving as a liaison and change agent to ensure effective collaboration coordination and use of resources.
  • Apply improvement science methodologies to continuously assess performance identify improvement opportunities and support stakeholders and process owners in prioritizing and implementing sustainable changes.
  • Analyze interpret and communicate benchmarked quality data and performance trends to identify gaps monitor progress and improve pediatric outcomes.
  • Contribute quality improvement expertise to regulatory accreditation and publicly reported programs supporting compliance with accreditation standards including The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Support strategic quality goal setting and alignment of improvement work with organizational priorities and pediatric best practices.
  • Facilitate the ongoing development of quality improvement knowledge and capability across the organization through consultation collaboration and education.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associates Degree or equivalent in Healthcare related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience in Quality improvement performance improvement project management or similar role

Preferred

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Healthcare related field
  • 1 year of relevant experience with participation on improvement initiatives
  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) IHI Open School
  • CRT-Professional in Healthcare Quality Certified (CPHQ) - NAHQ National Association for Healthcare Quality
