This role is the legally accountable Childrens Registered Manager and paying up to 65K DOE for an Ofsted-regulated childrens home providing leadership and oversight to ensure the home consistently meets (and aims to exceed) the Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards. The post leads a specialist 3-bed provision for children and young people with learning disabilities embedding a therapeutic child-centred culture and ensuring safe stable care that supports development and life skills.
Overview
What youll do
- Maintain regulatory compliance and readiness for inspection (including SCCIF alignment).
- Lead safeguarding practice ensuring robust procedures are applied consistently and reviewed.
- Oversee referrals and admissions assessments and ensure plans are in place accurate and current.
- Coordinate and monitor placement/pathway plans and progress working within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide strong people leadership: recruitment induction supervision appraisals and managing absence.
- Ensure effective engagement with families advocates placing authorities and other external agencies.
What success looks like
- Children experience a safe consistent sensory-aware environment with care tailored to individual needs.
- Plans risk assessments and records are current followed in practice and stand up to scrutiny.
- Staff are appropriately trained supported and supervised to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- The home operates with clear governance regular audits/reviews and timely reporting to the Responsible Individual.
Salary is up to 65k DOE
