As an Ink Technician you will perform a broad range of technical tasks pertaining to daily ink room management and operation under the direction of the plant manager. This person will also support the team with additional coverage overall where help is needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Working in a safe / organize atmosphere
- Coordinates job set up for presses.
- Formulates and blends inks as required.
- Maintains inventory control standards.
- Organizes inks for press runs.
- Returns inks from press to appropriate area.
- Performs press-side color matching.
- Operates color computer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience working with solvent ink is preferred.
- Color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.
- Excellent teamwork interpersonal and communication skills; as well as a demonstrated initiative in problem solving/troubleshooting required.
- Knowledge of basic computer operating and a good working knowledge of IMS.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
