As M&A Senior Analyst you will play a key role in supporting the team through the identification assessment and execution of M&A opportunities ranging from acquisition divestments joint ventures and strategic partnerships. This will include support on a range of work across M&A projects including valuation models and financial due diligence. This is a broad commercially focused role within a dynamic environment with opportunities to develop and grow.
How youll help us make health happen
Support the team in the development and implementation of an ongoing programme of acquisitions divestments joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
Support on transactions including appraisal of opportunity supporting the preparation of Information Memorandums and internal business cases developing refining and stress-testing valuation models (e.g. DCF trading multiples and precedent transactions) and undertaking financial reviews and commercial assessment.
Support assessment of the key metrics on transactions on the business unit and market unit such as ROCE/profitability/capital requirements etc.
Support on valuation workstreams which includes the development of the valuation model working closely with M&A colleagues and partnering with finance teams across the Market Unit.
Support in the review and assessment of financial due diligence in some cases conduct vendor or buy side financial due diligence with support from M&A Manager / Senior Manager or Head of M&A.
Support with M&A processes on a day-to-day basis including Q&A process as part of due diligence analysis as applicable during the process.
Delivering high quality relevant and timely reporting and financial appraisals in a way that is ready for the M&A Manager / Senior Manager or Head of M&A to review.
Contribute to papers briefings and advice regarding valuation risks and opportunities for the Management Unit so that appropriate management decisions can be taken.
Support in undertaking Post Acquisition and Investment reviews.
Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Professional qualification (ACA ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent from practice
Relevant post qualification commercial experience including M&A ideally in healthcare provision and insurance
Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills with the ability to search out relevant information insights assess financial risk and opportunity and any other financial implications on the transaction
Experienced in carrying out financial appraisals and valuation modelling (e.g. DCF trading multiples) with the ability to analyse key value drivers and outputs (such as IRR EV and ROCE) and assessing the financial impact on transactions.
Experience in financial due diligence which could include determining QofE
Net Debt and adjusted working capital adjustments and considerations
Experienced in preparing Information Memorandums.
Skilled in problem solving interpreting complex information and ability to translate their impact on transactions in a clear and logical way.
Skilled in managing large datasets organising these in a way which can be easily digested.
Good influencing and communication skills both verbal and written
A good relationship builder who can support and challenge colleagues at all levels of seniority including executive management from different functions in a constructive and effective manner.
Ability to work on numerous tasks and work under pressure and adapting to changing and ambiguous situations.
