Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
Responsibilities:
- Leads multiple project teams of other hardware/software engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of audio architecture design and development for complex products solutions and platforms including design validation tooling and testing.
- Leading and organization audio strategy through product execution point of view including competitor analysis through electrical/mechanical/software implementation.
- Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on audio design and development.
- Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.
- Provides domain-specific expertise and overall audio architecture solution and platform leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects programs and activities.
- Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the audio design organization.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
- Occasional travel may be required to support development activities (domestic and international)
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree/Masters degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or physics preferred
- 610 years Experience in hardware/firmware/software product managing /development/testing methodologies with specific direct PC design and Audio experience. Audio engineering in Notebooks mobile devices and/or consumer electronics preferred.
- Experience working with US Based & Overseas IC & Component suppliers; driving their teams through concept development & implementation phases on a devices life cycle
Knowledge and Skills:
- Using electrical design tools and familiar with software packages and software implementation process into PC systems
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. and familiar with PC factory process
- Experience in overall architecture of audio products and solutions.
- Familiar with designing and integrating electronic components mechanical components and algorithms into overall architecture.
- Evaluating and proposing forms of empirical analysis modeling and testing methodologies to validate audio hardware/software designs feature.
- Excellent written and presenting skills and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels with great sense in schedule perspective
