Job Summary

The City of Athens is seekingindividuals who enjoy working outdoors to join our seasonal maintenance team in the Lands and Buildings include (but are not limited to) the following:

General cemetery maintenance
Mowing weeding raking landscaping weed spraying

Lifting heavy materials
Working in adverse weather conditions
Maintaining a clean environment with litter pick up and disposal
Operation of equipment: cemetery vehicles mowers tractors etc.
Other duties as assigned

This is a seasonal position expected to last about 120 days and is covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The pay rate is $12.00 per hour depending on experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire to apply. Applicants must be able to work weekends. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
